   :: Mrs. Sivagamy Senthiya Passes Away

Mrs. Sivagamy Senthiya was born in Karaveddy on 8th April 1933, lived in Karaveddy for most of her life and for about 7 years in New Zealand during the latter part of her life. She passed away in Karaveddy on Friday 17th Feb 2006 at the age of 72.

Mrs. Sivagamy Senthiya is the beloved wife of  Mr Kanapathipillai Senthiya & taught at Maanikkavasahar vidiyalayam Karaveddy for more than 25 years .

She is the loving mother of:

  • Sivanathan (Hartley College/Jaffna University), Teacher at Chunnaham

  • Ravindranathan (Hartley College/Peradeniya university), Chief Engineer in Colombo

  • Devathasan ( Hartley College/Peradeniya university), Managing Director at NZ Powercom in New Zealand 

  • Malathy, London 

  • Pamathy, Colombo 

  • Kalamathy, London

She is the dearest grandmother of:

  • Ramakrishnan,

  • Jeyaram, Vipulan,

  • Abilan,

  • Babu,

  • Kobu,

  • Prabu,

  • Seru,

  • Thanusha,

  • Anna,

  • Jayana,

  • Rowena,

  • Vanessa,  &

  • Dylon,

The funeral was held on the 20th Feb 2006 3pm, at Karaveddy & the body was cremated at Sonappu Cemetery
