He is the dearly beloved husband of late Thavamani, loving father of late Chandrakumar, Shanthakumari (Canada), Sooriyakala (Canada), Manjula (USA), Sureshkumar (Sweden), loving father in law of Lalithambikai (India), yogamoorthy (Canada), Kamalanathan (Canada), Indranathan (USA), Meena (Sweden), loving grand father of all grand daughters and grand sons, loving son of late Kanapathipillai & late Patthini, son in law of late Vaithilingam & late Ponnamma, loving brother of late thambaiya (Sri Lanka), late Valinachy, loving brother in law of Dr. Poobalasingam (Canada), Pararajasingam (UK), Kanagasingam (Canada).
Funeral took place in India on 25th of November 2009.
