Hartley College

Welcome to the website of the Hartley College, Point Pedro, Sri Lanka. Founded in 1838, the College has established its glory as a frontier scholarly institution worldwide. The College has continuously excelled with unparalleled academic performance in island-wide examinations and has produced thousands of professionals notablely in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Arts and Science. Our students are also actively involved in sports such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, as well as Athletics.

Jan. 2005: Hartley was not severely affected by Tsunami.

Hartley College was not severely affected by Tsunami. The front boundary wall has fallen and sea water entered inside the Principal's office and into some of the classrooms as well. No serious events occurred at Hartley College.(More)

Dec. 2004: Reconstruction Appeal gets Quick Response.

Feb. 2004: HCPPA Trust Website Launched.

Global Branches of the HCPPA met in Colombo in July 2002 and agreed to form a Trust named Hartley College PPA Trust in order that the redevelopment activities of the college may be coordinated. The Trust was formally registered in Dec 2003, and a website has been launched to provide information on the activities of the Trust. (More)

Nov. 2003: Website's 5th Anniversary was Celebrated.

It is a great pleasure to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the official launch of Hartley College website (HartleyCollege.org and HartleyCollege.com). Since the inception on November 07, 1998 in Toronto, Canada, the college website has become well-known around the world for connecting Hartleyites and world-wide PPAs, sharing many stories and supporting the College in many ways.
